‘How Knowledge Ecosystem Works’ (Intellectual Deliberation — Session 1) — 6 October 2024

The inaugural session of CSR India’s Intellectual Deliberation series was organised as a platform for academics, researchers and intellectuals to engage in meaningful discussions on issues shaping knowledge and society. The session focused on the functioning of knowledge ecosystems and examined the processes through which knowledge is produced, circulated and applied across different domains. Dr. Mohammed Rizwan, Director of CSR, chaired the session and delivered a lecture addressing the epistemology, methodology and dissemination of knowledge. He highlighted the influence of politics, hierarchy, hegemony and money on the production and circulation of academic discourse. The lecture was followed by an interactive discussion between Dr. Rizwan and participants. More than 35 academicians, scholars and other interested individuals attended the session, representing institutions including Jamia Millia Islamia, Aligarh Muslim University, Jawaharlal Nehru University and the University of Delhi.
