Research & Training

Internship Cell

CSR India's Internship Cell offers structured research training and mentorship opportunities for emerging scholars working at the intersection of policy, society, and intellectual tradition.

Programme

Training the Next Generation of Independent Researchers

The cell exists to give early-career scholars sustained exposure to disciplined research practice — not administrative assistance, but genuine participation in the centre's intellectual work.

Program Overview

Interns are attached to a council or an active project for a defined term, working alongside senior researchers on literature review, fieldwork preparation, data analysis, and drafting. Weekly reading sessions and methodology clinics run alongside project work. Final programme details are being confirmed.

Eligibility

Open to postgraduate students and early-career researchers in the social sciences, humanities, law, and allied disciplines. Applicants should demonstrate a serious research interest aligned with one of the councils, and a reading knowledge appropriate to their chosen area.

How to Apply

Applications will be accepted through a short written proposal, an academic CV, and one letter of reference. Shortlisted candidates are invited for a conversation with the relevant council head. Application windows will be announced on this page and in the events listing.

Current & Past Cohorts

Details of past cohorts, their research outputs, and where alumni have gone on to study or work will be published here as the programme records are compiled.
